Atra Doftana is a unique destination located in Teşila, Romania. It’s a place where you can experience fine dining in the heart of nature, on the banks of Lake Paltinu. The restaurant is not conventional, but rather a journey of the senses where you have no choice but to surrender. The dishes are cooked slowly, with respect for each ingredient and process, so the only “espresso” they serve is coffee. They offer fine dining dishes, with fresh ingredients from farmers and vegetable growers in the area, from sheepfolds, trout farms, forests, orchards on the hills and mountains nearby.

The Atra menu is elaborated by Head Chef Ionut Gagiu, who masterfully combines the resources and richness of the place according to the season to delight all senses. Atra’s kitchen, a promoter of the “farm to table” concept, is the perfect place for Chef Gagiu’s innovation.
