The story of Zexe Brasserie officially began in 2016, from the desire of Chef Pastry Ana Consulea to restore the taste of Romanian desserts.. During her long visits to the library with the aim of researching the history of Romanian sweets, she had learned that Romania had an extraordinary confectionery during the interwar period. Bucharest was the capital with the most confectioneries and cafes in Europe, in the period between the two world wars.
Zexe Brasserie represents Ana Consulea’s vision to enrich, improve what already exists and the guarantee of Zexe quality, all brought into the contemporary.
The showcase full of desserts, of course, reigns supreme in the Brasserie. As in any brasserie, the “stars” are the cakes.
The design of the brasserie combines elements of Mediterranean inspiration and French influences. The elegant interior space is doubled by a terrace with a Provençal air.
You can find us in a house with a historic air on Bulevardul Aviatorilor, number 65, in the Charles de Gaulle area.
Zexe Brasserie means a community made up mostly of resident guests in the area (we also call them guests in slippers, because they feel at home with us), but also guests who come especially to Zexe Brasserie to enjoy our unique cakes in Bucharest. It is a place where you can enjoy a breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner delicious.
